Most ADHD care starts with a short appointment and the first medication on the list. If it doesn't work, you wait, reschedule, and try again, sometimes for months. Clarity ADHD runs the process the way it should be run: a structured 5-visit program, about 7 weeks start to finish, that combines a thorough evaluation, objective testing, and systematic medication trials, so decisions are driven by data instead of guesswork.
The program, step by step
Comprehensive Evaluation
A 60-minute deep-dive into your history, symptoms, and goals. We review childhood and adult patterns, prior diagnoses and medications, and co-occurring concerns like depression and anxiety. No 15-minute intake, no checklist-only screening.
QbTest + First Medication Trial
You complete the QbTest, which may provide objective information about attention, activity, and impulse control. Results are interpreted with the clinical history, questionnaires, functioning, and other possible causes of symptoms. Your first medication trial begins at this visit.
Medication Trials #2 and #3
We systematically trial and compare up to three medication options with weekly check-in visits. Instead of settling for "good enough," we gather real evidence about how each option works for your brain.
Choose the Best Fit
Week 5 is your last appointment. We pick which medication worked best, switch to an extended-release version of that medication, then start a 2-week trial after that visit. The full path is about 7 weeks from the first appointment.
What makes Clarity ADHD different
Objective Testing
QbTest may provide objective information about attention, activity, and impulse control. Results are interpreted with the clinical history, questionnaires, functioning, and other possible causes of symptoms.
Structured Medication Optimization
When medication is appropriate, we adjust it using response, functioning, tolerability, and your goals. Up to three comparative trials are common. They are individualized, not obligatory.
Never Rushed
60-minute initial evaluation. Complex conditions deserve careful, unhurried attention from someone who actually knows you.
Same Provider Always
You see the same PA at every visit. No rotating providers, no starting over, no losing your history.
Transparent Pricing
One flat fee for the full program. No insurance battles, no surprise bills, no prior authorizations. See pricing.
100% Telehealth
Secure video from anywhere in Washington. Evenings and weekends available. No commute, no waiting room.
Who this is not for
Most practice websites only describe the patients they want. That wastes your time and your money, because you find out at the end of an intake instead of before you book. Clarity ADHD is a good fit for a lot of adults in Washington, and a poor fit for some. Here is the honest version.
- You need a fuller team than a solo telehealth practice. Active substance use disorder, bipolar I disorder, psychosis, or a significant eating disorder are better served somewhere with more support around you. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 now rather than booking.
- Therapy is the treatment you are looking for. This practice provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management only. We are glad to coordinate with a therapist you already see, or to refer you to one.
- You are under 18, or not in Washington. Visits require you to be an adult and physically located in Washington State at the time of the appointment. That is a licensing rule, not a preference.
- You already know the medication and dose you want prescribed. Every plan here starts with an evaluation, a records review, and a check of the state prescription monitoring database. If a practice is willing to promise your exact regimen before meeting you, that is worth thinking about carefully.
- The cost does not work for your situation. This is a cash-pay practice, and ongoing care runs about $700 a year after the program. If that is not sustainable, that is a real answer and worth knowing now. Tell us at the free consultation and we will point you toward other options in Washington.
None of this is a judgment about you. It is about whether this particular setting can give you good care. If we are not the right fit, ask anyway and we will do our best to send you somewhere better. See conditions treated for what is in scope, or the FAQ for the practical questions.
What happens next
Once that trial is done, ongoing care is simple: maintenance visits for medication management and refills, with extended visits available when something more complex comes up. Already diagnosed and treated elsewhere? A one-time transfer intake reviews your existing care and builds an updated plan. If your previous prescriber closed, retired, or stopped prescribing, see transferring care to Clarity ADHD.
Booking is done through our secure SimplePractice patient portal. You'll pick a time, enter your information, and receive your intake forms electronically. Curious what we treat? See conditions treated, or read the FAQ.
